Most people in the USA really still don’t know much about the War in Vietnam, other than that it was unpopular in America, fought a long time ago in a place that was far away and that not many people knew much about. The realization that the Vietnam War is called the American War locally, was something that I had to come to terms with as an American citizen now standing in that far away place that no one still knows nothing about. Vietnamese people often refer to the conflict as the “American Wa
