Reposting our indeterminate tomato pruning tips 💚🌱 Step 1: Follow the Leader! Locate the primary stems (typically we train our indeterminate tomato plants to two main leaders/stems). Step 2: Locate the Suckers! Suckers will appear in between the leader and a leaf. If allowed to grow, a sucker will branch, leaf, and fruit. But when it comes to indeterminates, the basic principle is: pruning suckers gives you larger fruit which is great for beefsteak varieties. Not pruning quite as much can give you more fruit but it is smaller which is great for cherry varieties.
