2005年7月12日 · Here we are 5 months later. Time to revisit the XL13 again. I was quoted a price for a "Trane 4.0 ton XL13 410a" (the exact text from the quote). I went to the Trane website to learn about it but it is now gone. I live in western NY and run the AC about 3 months with electric costs at $0.15 / kwh.

2010年7月7日 · Summer 2010: I'd like to replace the damaged capacitor and wiring. It looks very straight forward, but I'd like to have specs and a diagram to follow. The one that used to be in the unit -- I think -- was also damaged by mice and no longer readable. I cannot afford an annual $150 fee for someone else to simply splice/tape wires.

2010年8月31日 · Trane XL13i compressor not running. I recently had an issue with my upstairs unit. The outside fan was not running. The tech came out and determined that it was the capacitor. The unit was working fine again. Two weeks later and the unit has stopped cooling again. The fan is running but the compressor does not seem to be coming on.

This seemed to help. Last Sunday the compressor started to fail towards the end of the day. It would not run all night and then it would come back on in the AM.

2015年2月9日 · The compressor died in almost 13 year old Trane system manufactured 04/2002. Heat pump: Trane XL13i. 4TWX3042A1000AA. From what I’m gathering based on model number, it’s 3.5 ton. Air handler. 4TEE3F40A1000AA. And this one is 3.0 ton according to old brochures I’ve found. 2 stories + finished basement.

2015年6月29日 · Yep. If you had a power surge or a low voltage/brownout it could have nuked it but then it would have acid in the lines and be burned out. Ideally the tech should find out what happened to cause it to fail AND test the oil to see if it is acidic. If he puts a new condensor on a burnout then it will last 2 yrs or less.

I have a 12 year old Trane XL13i 3 Ton and when the system calls for AC the Compressor and Fan come on but the R-410A refrigerant doesn't appear to be circulating. I had the charge checked yesterday and it was full, but no temperature difference between incoming and outgoing lines.
