The reason it wont go in easily is the Trigger guard retention mechanism sometimes get stuck in closed position, while firearm is out of holster, so firearm will not holster.

Feb 23, 2024 · Hence, I had bought a Safariland 7378RDS-7TS ALS locking holster. Got the optic installed, went well, followed the Sig Guy's very helpful video. However, when I try to remove the firearm (unloaded of course) there is considerable resistance to getting the ALS locking mechanism to unlock and therefore release the firearm.

Jan 13, 2022 · The X grips require the Safariland holster that is compatible with the X frames. The X grips are wider at the top near the slide, which is what affects the Safariland holsters fitment. The 7TS series will work with both the standard frames and X frames. The 6300 ALS series will work with X frames if you use a heat gun and work them a little.
