Jan 8, 2003 · 1.the unstable bias supply can be due to the rectifying tube or ss diode or bridge; replace with higher quality rectifying diode(a-must) or ss-diode or the whole bridge. 2.malfunctioning coupling capacitor that needs to be replaced. try to find the better model than manufacturer-installed and do same for the functioning channel as well.

Reconnect wires from the power transformer and turn on the amp into the 220V receptacle. 4. Check Cathode voltage from the tube sockets(Is it safe to run amp with no tubes? What issues am I facing here?)

I decided that I didn't need what the A10 was offering (I know.."need" is a four letter word) but seriously, I absolutely loved the A8 compared to my internal McIntosh DA2 DAC..the instrument separation is otherworldly..it's that good.
