Somewhat late to the party, but imo characterizing Obito as either good or evil is too simplistic. The Naruto series takes place in an alternate world embroiled in conflict, defined by bloody skirmishes and campaigns fought between various shinobi clans, at the behest of warring states vying for power (seeking the right to exist or expand their borders).
