2017年11月28日 · Maritool collets say .0003 If I am going to switch endmills to .0001 heat shrink holders in the NEAR future why the F would I want to buy .0006 collets. Looks like I will have to bit the bullet and spend a little more on the Maritool.

2006年12月29日 · I cut a pretty wide range of ferrous metals - irons and steels of different grades and hardnesses - and generally speaking, tool life is pretty similar between the two. The Maritool costs a bit less so I guess the value is better. The Maritool 1/2" also has a 1-1/4" flute length compared to 1" with the Lakeshore. Both are great endmills.

2021年11月9日 · Maritool also makes 12mm thread interface dual contact holders which I use in my Speedio, and he's coming out with CAT40 units as well. I am really liking the thread interface as you can keep inserts loaded in tips and swap them out for different materials instead of taking up tool holders or having to pull down a tool to swap inserts.

The prices beat most of the other quotes I got and I assume that Maritool uses these same holders in their machines so I trust that they'll be good. He doesn't have them on the web site yet so for now need to call and ask what they have.

2020年6月10日 · Recently set up a new Haas SMM2 at work. Bought a nice tooling set from Maritool. Budget is tightened up with the COVID stuff going on now. Only got half the tooling we originally planned to. We need more collets, but the Maritool collet sets are $200+ or about $20 per collet. I find other sets online that only end up being $4 or so a collet.
