It is probably more about getting comfortable with one vs. another than anything else. In my Hershey bar arrow, I tended to come in a little steeper with pulled power once made.

2012年8月2日 · By the way, the model nomenclature gets a little confusing. In the last two years of the "Hershey-bar" wing (1974-75), the 180-hp model was called "Cherokee Archer". The tapered wing came out for the 1976 model, which was called "Cherokee Archer II"; and the "Cherokee" part of the name was dropped after 1977.

2005年3月2日 · The Cherokee 180 fuselage was stretched in 1973. They called the plane the Challenger. It still had the Hershey bar wings, though they had a longer span, as did the horizontal stabilizer. The original Archer came out in 1974, and was the same plane. Stretched fuselage and Hershey bar wings.

2024年9月24日 · Actually 2 proposed AD's. One affecting the taper wing '28's, Arrows and fixed gear 32's. Another covering the retract 32's, which have a reinforced spar, and the hershey-bar 28's. The former will be life limited to 12,000 hours. There is a reinforcing kit for the non "high performance" PA28's that will extend them out to 25,000.

2012年4月24日 · Later, another 10HP was added for a total of 160. Assuming this is correct, there are no Hershey-bar winged Warriors out there. Again from Av Consumer, the Archer nameplate replaced the Cherokee 180/Challenger nameplate in 1973, with the airplane wearing Hershey bar wings until 1976. So there are both style wings out there with Archer branding.

Cherokee 140/180 and Cherokee 180 high altitude performance?
2014年11月8日 · No problem climbing to get tailwind, but quite a speed penalty with Hershey bar wing at altitude. 180 Comanches and Mooney 180 did better maintaining their speed at altitude, but even they started to hang from the props at 11T. With my 180hp C172(with CSP), I’ll go up to 11T for large tailwind, but otherwise 6-9T.

2017年3月19日 · All Cherokee 140s, right up to the end of production in 1977, have the original short fuselage and Hershey-bar wings. All Warriors have tapered wings, the long cabin, longer stabilator, permanent (not snap-in) rear seats, a real baggage area and exterior baggage door, and a smaller nose wheel and tire.
