2005年8月26日 · Neck joint is different. Pickups route shapes are slightly different ( a larger diameter router bit was used on the Hamer so the corners look different than a Gibson route). Peghead shape is slightly different (and I believe the angle is different as well).

If you use a fender style bridge then the neck pocket can be routed flat, but if you are going to use any thing like a Gibson style Nashville bridge then it will need to be angled up to as much as 3 degrees--

2014年6月1日 · getting started on a v and wanted to try out a hybrid joint. it has the long small tenon of the early '57 era korina flying v but it has the les pual style neck joint where there is vertical glue surface where the end of th ebody meets a shoulder created on the neck. plus there is 1/4" on the bottom as well.

2012年12月9日 · I tried a 1958 custom shop reissue and a faded V, the two ends of the spectrum price-wise. I just assumed most V's had a round neck profile which is my least favorite, then I was reading on the current V specs that the neck is a "factor x" profile, a blend of 50's and 60's.

I've seen quite a number of Gibsons and other traditionally-built Vs with cracks through to the pickup cavity along the sides of the neck - because the way they do it is weaker than a full-width tenon with a glue joint there, and also the maximum possible gluing area and contact under the tenon which will stop it trying to lift.

2023年8月23日 · The neck - body joint. The neck doesn't fit parallel, it needs about 4⁰ so the strings can rise up over the bridge. You can add shims but not prefer. consider a through neck - good for sustain balance - the weight distribution and where the strap nuts are matter; get this wrong and the guitar will not sit correctly.
