2015年5月4日 · When you run a circle mill for a farm show with members tractors you just open the throttle and saw with the speed you got . The best I can get out of the 80 HP steam tractor is about 525 . NO I am not going to re hammer the saw .

2011年7月11日 · shelby,what you need is a decent used saw belsaws will handle a little bigger saw like 42" or44"some guys go bigger but its a little iffy due to the diameter of the arbor.Scotchbrite pads on an angle grinder do a good job.Be sure you have the bits and shanks in the saw when you clean it and be carefull you don't round edges. 2015年8月5日 · Chris, I run a circle saw down in A us and also been on a Lucas 11 years. By the sound of it, with the maple not being flat on the carriage, as the blade has cut through it, the log has been pulled down onto the carriage and this has caused friction on your blade. If my blades get hot to touch, then asawdoctoring they go.

2017年11月28日 · This question is geared towards the Mobile Dimension saw users and also stationary circle mill guys too. I have a mobile dimension saw. It uses a #3 insert tooth for all blades. Its my belief that MD is the only MFGer left using this tooth. There is only ONE source for teeth in a #3 (simonds).

2016年11月20日 · I don't own a circle saw but I would think if the fly wheel would be an advantage they would have them on the mills. Yes you will get the effect when you hit a knot but it will also take more time to recover back to full speed. Then all the bearings you have to add will complicate your build. Keep it simple. The key is the proper hp for the blade.

From this point, some colouration, light sanding, more colouration, etc. then sealing will yield the old time look a lot of people want.
