Running Chimney Pipe Through Corrugated Metal Roof?
2020年12月22日 · The roof is Metal Corrugated and I have a couple of questions. I know I can run Stove Pipe up to the insulation, but then I need to do double-wall through the insulation and up through the attic, do I have to do triple wall out of the roof or can I do double-wall?

2011年2月2日 · I used a pipe boot. It was cheap, simple and has not given me any trouble. I used a regular boot (not high temp) since it is double walled pipe. Had a chimney fire the first year due to the constant burning of green wood and still have not had a problem. Keep in mind it is better to exit the roof through a rib rather than between ribs.

2013年2月2日 · When I went through my corrugated metal roof, I bought a stove pipe laser level that fits inside the top of the stove pipe or your wood stove and projects a laser dot right at the center point on the roof or what ever you are going through.. Was dead nuts on..scribed a circle after marking the dot and it was dead on plumb.

2006年8月1日 · Metal-Fab Temp Guard is listed to 1.5" clearance to combustibles, so that would save you 1" on the hole size and let you place the pipe 1/2" closer to the house, which in your case may make the difference in fitting or not.
