All the usual BSP stuff in middle grounds where sand forms bars and holes and either end rocky areas for variaty of rockfishy types, I usuallt target these areas for Cabazons and brown rockfish.

Folks up and down the beach were doing the same thing and having good luck but no one was better at catching boiling fish than the locals. They took run and gun surf fishing to a new level.

Nov 12, 2024 · It is legal to fish sanddabs in 250 feet or 1250 feet year round. There is no hook restriction. And, you will catch rockfish over mud. Just fish the slopes. The key is to be prepared to descend the rockcod. As you get experience, you will find sanddab spots with few rockcod. Aso better to fish fewer hooks.
