I have only had 3 times where Tradestation was lagging or went down for whatever reason whereas I have had dozens of times where TOS went down. 3: Option approval is easy as pie, when I opened my account I was able to select the highest level of options approval and I was approved right away.

I thrash my tradestation SIM account.. not sure why anyone could make fun of that software. I do have a xeon pc, and ticks are actually ticks. Right now I am watching nasdaq take a dump... (my last spy call is fuqd before open tomorrow) ..and making a couple hundred bucks a very few minutes. you could do the NQ ticker with 12k.

You’ll see that all the SIM trades have an OrderID (order number) that is 9 digits in length and start with the number ‘7’.

TOS runs natively on a Mac. TradeStation is a windows only client. However, pairing TradingView on top of TradeStation is decent. I like TradeStation’s API’s a lot more than TOS and (most importantly), TradeStation doesn’t limit the number of Trades per day like TOS. Oh yeah, TOS charges “regulatory fees” too and TradeStation does not.
