I'm currently revisiting the Stormlight Archive series in anticipation of Book 5, and I'm struck by Kaladin's treatment of Syl. Throughout "The Way of Kings" and "Words of Radiance," Kaladin's interactions with Syl are consistently dismissive, terse, and marked by a lack of trust.
