Even if you can't see it with eyes, measuring with colorimeter or spectrometer can easily show it. Interestingly, in my country(and I believe the same is for the rest of region) I don't find it often turned on by default.

LG just want to force everyone to use the power saving mode because of certain EU regulations, so its impossible to use HDR and some other settings without energy saving being enabled by default.

2023年4月26日 · Quick story: used LCD 21" for last 10 years, and upgraded to a IPS 27" last year, specifically a LG 27GL650 monitor. I'm suspecting that is too much light in my face because of the IPS panel. I know that IPS is healthier, but I swear that emits far more light than LCD.

Disclaimer: I'm aware of the difference between ASBL and ABL. I'm looking for a method to disable the dimming after the monitor displays e.g. a PDF document for several minutes.
