MetroAccess Paratransit - WMATA
MetroAccess is a shared-ride, door-to-door, paratransit service for eligible customers whose disability prevents them from using bus or rail. Read more about our eligibility requirements below. Eligibility – Capital Metro – Austin Public Transit
The eligibility process includes an application, professional medical verification and an interview and orientation by staff for new and existing customers. A functional assessment may also be required.

Under this program, people with disabili ties may travel on Metrobus and Metrorail for half the regular (rush hour) fare at all times. People with disabilities who can use the accessible bus and rail public transportation. See page four for guidance on submitting the completed application. The minimum age to apply for this program is 5 years old.
