Juan Martín del Potro (Spanish pronunciation: [xwan maɾˈtin del ˈpotɾo]; [3] born 23 September 1988) is an Argentine former professional tennis player. [4] Del Potro's biggest achievement is winning the 2009 US Open singles title, where he defeated Rafael Nadal in the semifinals and the five-time defending champion Roger Federer in the final.
