Promoting employment in Africa through public-private cooperation - GIZ
E4D develops and implements public-private cooperation projects following an integrated model for employment promotion. These aim to: increase demand for labour across sectors such as renewable energy, tourism, agriculture, food processing, construction and transportation.
from 2021, with KOICA’s support, E4D is providing Competency-based Education and Training (CBET) and matching services in Kenyan and Tanzanian vocational training institutes, to increase youth employability and place people in jobs.
The E4D programme promotes local employment and addresses skills gaps in seven countries by building the capacities of job- seekers, employees, enterprises and training institutions.
The E4D/SOGA model for increasing local employment and incomes was based on an integrated approach that combined three types of activities: Build capacities of enterprises, train and support jobseekers
