2024年1月17日 · Unless the furnace is raised, as of now your only option is a condensate pump to an “approved“ location. I think what may be happening is condensate is freezing in the “bellies” of the loosely supported flexible drain line, preventing any further water from getting through. That is something else that would have to be corrected.

This trap only remains wet during operation of the air-conditioning (except in the event of a high efficiency furnace which condenses condensate from the combustion gases). When the trap dries out in the winter, there will be air flow.

What makes a furnace a high efficient furnace is that it removes Latent Heat with a second coil in the indoor air stream which puts the heat into the house.

If I am not mistaken a 95% efficient furnace the condensate comes from the flue exhaust.
