It's definitely possible (creating a BIOS with the necessary files and booting from a floppy to reflash your BIOS), but the code would be have to written in C-type language or lower, almost at machine language level (if not machine level, i.e. binary), since there's no OS before the BIOS.

For Kruft accumulation, it's likely to have exhaust pressure, so it wouldn't load up with dust too quickly, and if you're anal retentive, you could simply replace the "stuffing" every couple years -- I'd think . . . . anyway . . .

2019年1月6日 · I bought a MSI Z270-A PRO motherboard and installed Windows 10. When I installed Win10, the BIOS boot was set to "Legacy + UEFI". I had to enable the "Windows 8/10 WHQL support" option to show the "Secure Boot" option. When I enabled "Windows 8/10 WHQL support", that automatically set the boot mode to UEFI only.

Thin laptops feel like they can break more easily than thicker laptops. Maybe it is an illusion, but thicker laptops do feel more sturdy. I hope there would be more hardcover case for the thinkpad series.
