High Evaporator Approach - HVAC-Talk
2011年8月27日 · Hello Guys, I noticed today when looking at the chiller log, that the machine had a higher than normal evaporator approach and winding temperature. Could this happen if the unit was running in a over tonnage situation, where the load was too much for 1 chiller. The chiller has been running good earlier this year.
Air cooled condenser approach? - HVAC-Talk
2019年6月5日 · I was just thinking about approach on the condenser side of air cooled chillers and whether that's a value people typically log. I'm familiar with the air in/out measurement, but never heard of people checking approach (leaving air and sat. cond. temp). All the approach threads I searched for talked about water cool.
Small temperature difference in York Chiller- - HVAC-Talk
2013年9月4日 · If condenser approach is 4° or more, it's an indication your water cooled chiller has fouled tubes. Evaporator approach can be used to evaluate the refrigerant charge. Take all readings with the water cooled chiller at full load. In a 1 pass evaporator, approach should be 10° to 14°. In a 2 pass evaporator, approach should be 7° to 10°.
Chiller Approach and Flow - HVAC-Talk
2014年3月2日 · Better heat transfer, lower approach temperatures. At some point in time, the fluid volume goes too high. The fluid flows through the tube so quickly that the fluid molecules aren't in touch with the tube wall long enough to pick up as much heat as it possibly could. Heat transfer doesn't drop but you still get higher approach temperatures.
Chiller approach temp - HVAC-Talk
2014年10月15日 · This is my first post so I wanted to start off by saying hello everyone. My question is on a Trane 320ton centrifugal the evap approach temp is 11. I know that seems high because on the other chillers my approach temps are usually under 3-5 deg. Im thinking low charge or dirty tubes am I headed in the right direction?
Trane RTAC Evaporator approach - HVAC-Talk
2011年7月13日 · Evaporator approach is around 2 to 4 degrees and liquid level is 0 to 0.4. The refrigerant pressures are normal for the conditions, 92 and humid. Last week the chiller must have had a compressor loading solenoid or the EXV hanging up at certain times because you could hear the difference in the machine and the pressures and approach would ...
Carrier chillers --- Approach temperatures - HVAC-Talk
2008年7月14日 · The fact is nothing is in the literature concerning approach temperatures. Say for example i have a 120 ton 30hx machine running fully loaded and i have a 6 degree approach temp. on the condenser. Is 6 degrees too high ,too low, normal? Or a 30ra machine with 10 degree approach on the evaporator. High, low, normal?
High evaporator approach issues - HVAC-Talk
2022年11月30日 · Hello, I have an air cooled Smardt chiller (72TR) having issues running high approach fully loaded, 8-10 degrees. It still makes setpoint but obviously not operating optimally. The exv is SEHI-175 which is, if anything, oversized for chiller. It uses about 20% glycol concentration which I understand raises approach slightly.
Yk Chiller high approach and subcooling - HVAC-Talk
2017年2月28日 · Approach on evap is -1 Approach on cond is 8.3 Subcooling is 10.5 Cond pressure is 67.7 Evap pressure is 27.8 Evap sat is 32 Cond sat is 67.8 If I load up the chiller the subcooling and approach on cond goes up then it settles out. Again i have cleaned the condenser 4 times this year and just ran scalebreak through it.
TRANE - CDHF - Negative approach temperature - HVAC-Talk
2009年3月10日 · "When one compressor is operational the approach value will be similar to those found on single compressor models. However when both compressors are operating, the upstream compressor circuits approach will be the mathematical difference of the upstream chillers refrigerant temperature and the leaving water temperature after the down stream ...
