2014年12月27日 · So my question is if I replace the thermostat housing do I need to replace the gaskets and sealers as well. I watched a video on YouTube and they did not. But my father is telling me I would need to. I have never worked on a car before but I have watched a close friend work on my old Chevy lumina. And this is a 2013 Chevy Cruze.

2020年4月7日 · I replaced the thermostat to throttle body pipe. Aftermarket one has plastic for the pipe and the old one only seemed to have a shrunken O-ring on the thermostat housing connector, it was flush with the pipe plug & clip part. Replacing the O-ring would have been the better option. So at 65k miles, I think that is the likely problem, the O-ring.

I also replaced the water outlet manifold, the reservoir tank, and recently modded the top hose fitting on the outlet manifold as well. I had the same kinds of problem with the plastic cooling parts on an older BMW that I used to have.

2020年3月16日 · I replaced my OEM thermostat housing in my 2014 Cruze 1.8 today due to having code P0597 - Thermostat heater control circuit open as well as it leaking coolant. I replaced with Dorman 902-033, figuring it was a fix all unit that would last longer. I've properly filled and bled the cooling system, but can not get coolant temps past 170F.
