You need to have the batteries resting, That is no current flow, for at least 30 minutes for a true reading, Simply use your disconnect, that will be close enough in most cases, No need for a wrency. Again, measure the 12 volt voltage. don't worry abut each battery, treat the pair as a single 12 volt.

2009年1月1日 · Six volt flooded cell deep cycle batteries come in several different qualities. IMHO the best is Trojan. An excellent alternate would be Interstate, made by Johnson Controls. Just make sure you are getting a true deep cycle battery. Batterys made by Exide are to be avoided IMHO. Sam's club does care the INterstate Deep Cycle batteries.

2005年4月3日 · Welcome to the RV Forum! You have two pairs of 6 volt batteries, like I said above (13 years ago!) each pair makes a single 12 volt battery. So you have two 12 volt batteries in parallel. All of your batteries should be the same make and age for the best results. Old and new batteries don't play well togther.

Just pay attention to the specs when comparing prices - they are made in a couple different Amp-hour (AH) ratings, so make sure you are comparing apples to apples.

I understand it's best to store them fully charged, and with a battery tender. I have them in my garage the same way they were in the RV (a battery wire connecting positive on battery A to negative on battery B).

Checked them today-proper amount of water but one tested at 6.12 and the other at 6.10. According to the chart I got off the Internet, that's 50% charge. It could be a week or 2 before these are installed on the travel trailer.

In one case, POS cable to ground, it is a direct short across the battery. In the other case, NEG cable to ground, you now energize the camper with 6 volt power.
