Then search for common problems for the chassis, either "E60/F10 common problems" and then for the engine, either "N54/N55 common problems" The common issues on these have been beat to death and there are lots.

Belt-driven water pumps can’t fail (class action lawsuit) and the inline 6’s from that era, despite some VANOS issues that are easily remedied, are generally considered reliable. My mechanic says those were great chassis. I had a 2000 323i from that era.
