Great rod for fly fishing for someone who’s just starting out. Caught many rainbow trout on stocked lakes with this rod. It feels great to cast with a 7 weight. Irs good, not expert, however, does seem to cast better than budget one. Makes casting a little easier.

Wondering if anyone has tried this line...I am an Airflo fanboy but have never tried the lower priced Velocity, only the higher end Ridgelines, which I love. The price is right and I was thinking of trying one on one of my smaller 5 wts. The Velocity doesn't sport any fancy loops, tapers or coatings...just a boring, average fly line.

Look at whitewater rafts, where a urethane boat brings a considerable upcharge over one made from PVC, and its durability advantages are well known. I have several airflo lines, and each has gone on for years without any cracking.

2023年10月5日 · Like dgp I only use an intermediate occasionally so I have an Airflo Velocity clear int line which works well. Sinks at 1.5 ft/sec so reasonably fast. About £20 nowadays, not bad value at all.
