2018年9月18日 · No. Upgrading your laptop's CPU, in general, is not a good idea. You'll probably just find yourself with BIOS and thermal issues--not to mention that the CPU wouldn't even be compatible with the motherboard.

You could totally fry that CPU and your case would likely not ever change enough in temperature for you to have any idea of it. Those cooling pads don't do ANYTHING except make the surface temperature of the laptop more comfortable.

2017年6月9日 · Laptop GPUs are fine up to 60-70C and CPU can handle 100C. And cooling pads don't really do much judging from my experience. However, 50 C degrees seems a bit too much for average browsing on a new 17" laptop. Unless watching videos and have multiple tabs open with some background tasks, then it is good.

Besides the other reasons, you're better off finding a laptop with a cpu you want and not worry about upgrading. If you want something upgradable, then you want a desktop. Not sure about IB, but SB CPUs the max temp is about 95C at which point the cpu will cut back it's speed to reduce temp (throttling). As Others pointed out 2+ hours rendering/encoding is more for a desktop.
