Is it safe to place Mac mini tilted with a stand?
2017年7月23日 · @TinaBelcher - I have been using a vertical stand with a 2018 Mac mini, with 64GB RAM for 3 years and have had no issues with excessive heating or loss of performance. In my case, for improved access and heat transfer (hot air rises!), I positioned the Mini with the ports and cooling fins facing upwards.

I adjusted the opening width to the 2 inches needed for the new Mac Mini M4. I have re-attached the Stand Image here. My Mac Mini M4 arrives Tuesday morning (12 Nov 2024) from Shanghai.

2024年10月29日 · That is all fine with the footprint to fit the new Mac Mini M4 and all the ports and ability to install a SSD inside of it. But, the problem with access to the Power Button on the bottom of the Mac Mini M4 is NOT resolved with this. Unless Raycue is working on including the ability WHEN they finally release this hub. Time will tell, I guess.

2024年10月29日 · That is not necessarily true, if the manufacturer designs the new mount/stand to only be fitted up to the bottom center of the new 2024 Mac Mini. But unfortunately, there are no mounts/stands available yet. My 2024 Mac Mini arrives next Monday 11 Nov and so I will have to either place the unit upside down or pick it up to access the power button.

2020年10月6日 · Have the Mini 2018 i7 and use it in a vertical laptop stand made of metal. Definitely an improvement versus placing it horizontally on the table. Additionally, I use Mac Fan Control with a constant value of 2804 rpm for the exhaust fan.

Many are 1.4 - 1.5 inches, which is no good for the Mac Mini M4
