2010年2月16日 · The length of the stainless liner is 12' or 15', I forget right now, and then the stove is probably 4' below where the stove pipe enters the liner, so The total length is somewhere between 15' and 20' I'm not worried about over draft, as right now, if I ever open the stove door while wood is burning, smoke always comes into the house.

2023年7月27日 · I am installing a small wood stove in my pole barn and I just had a new metal roof installed. My gut is saying that I don't want to cut a hole in that new roof for the stove. Here's some more info. The interior wall height is 13'. The side of the barn where I want to install the stove has a 15' overhang where the roof line is extended over it.

2013年9月8日 · If the stove pipe has to seal with the liner then I can see it being a bit of a pain, but if I can simply install a pipe flush with the liner's inner wall then I'll be in great shape. If it's the latter then I'll just seal up some small gaps between the masonry and the liner with some refractory cement and start my plumbing.

2008年9月9日 · The pipe was expensive, but it's adjustable height to match up to the flue opening & goes from the 3" to the 6" size in one pipe. Not sure if you could use something like that to hook up into the 8" stove pipe, or if you really need to run the 3" pipe all the way through the 8" pipe.

I have removed the insert and would like to place a wood stove on the hearth and vent it up the chimney. Budget is an issue so I'm wondering if I can just run stove pipe up the chimney all the way to the top.

This is strongly recommended against because it will slow down and cool the exhaust gases from the stove. This can result in weak draft, a cranky stove, hard starts, etc.

2006年3月15日 · Just installed my pellet stove tonight. Into a 32 foot chimney lined with a 5.5" stainless liner previously used for a wood stove. I used Simpson pellet pipe to the existing thimble. Really don't know why I didn't use three inch stove pipe but I had the pellet pipe already. Which brings up a question.
