LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5)—Clark County posted to X to highlight the 44th anniversary of a deadly fire that ripped through the MGM Grand. On Nov. 21, 1980, the fire killed 87 and injured 700 others.

The massive blaze that ripped through MGM Grand Hotel on Nov. 21, 1980 still impacts us to this day. It led to fire code updates that fire officials say have made all of us safer.
