I took my 3.5 year old for the first time to this place and overall was pleased with our experience. First of all you can access the 2.8 miles of walking trails without having to pay admission. The… megawilson的完整评论

Really good place to learn more about dinosaurs and the time + world in which they lived. Super impressed that they built the museum around actual dinosaur prints so as not to disturb them. Brilliant… DP_42_Towel的完整评论

We had a fun stop near Hartford. Nice picnic area and hiking as well as the museum. Worth the low cost of admission. Park itself is free. Reingding13的完整评论

Hello! We had an active 5 year old with us so we worked our way through the inside exhibits very quickly (45 mins). They also have a great set of hiking trails through the dense old growth forest around the facility with various attractions to stop at. We took a long hike and fully enjoyed it. If your group is up for hiking then you can spend about 3 hours at the park, more if you pack a picnic. If it is cold or raining, it may be as quick as 1 hour for viewing the inside displays. They also have classrooms for kids inside but there were no events when we were there. Hope this helps! Dennis
Are they open every day and weekends and what are the hours...can't seem to find it posted anywhere?

Hello, Due to state budget cuts we are currently operating on a reduced schedule. The museum is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9:00 to 4:30 p.m. This reduced schedule will continue at least until the end of January. We expect to go back to a 6-day a week schedule early in 2018 in either February or March. Please call the park if you have questions at (860) 529-5816. Sincerely, Meg Enkler, Environmental Education Coordinator, Dinosaur State Park.
Is this place basically just for kids? Also, this might sound stupid, but are the prints real? Or is it like big foot to wow the kids?

It is nice for everyone. If you go on YouTube and enter the name of the park there is a nice presentation showing what you can see and do. Check hours of their being open as it varies during the year. Nicer to go when the weather is nice and no snow as there is an outside part, but there is a nice indoor part and stead of moving the artifacts hey built a park around the find so they are in their original location.
