It is a very popular park with plenty of visitors when there is no snow on the ground.I have hiked and camped in this park a few times and never had any problem. I have no reason to believe that it would be unsafe for anyone walking alone and I have not heard of anyone ever being accosted here. I would not know how many park rangers there are. You could visit the park website online or call the park office for further information.
