Had a train booked for my wifes birthday whilst we were visiting Wales. Travelled for an hour from our Holiday Park and paid £12 for an all day parking spot. Then spent the same amount on a cheap ass… Mark W的完整评论

Whilst an excellent journey which perhaps does assist many of those who would not otherwise be capable or wish to walk to the summit of Snowdon, I do have gripes that the attraction is genuinely over… T8192OAjoshb的完整评论

A must see if you visit Wales, so exhilarating in the wind when you get to the top. But.... too many people crammed in together on the train. We had 9 going up & 8 coming back & the 8 was so much bet… Char L的完整评论
we are taking the train up snowdon. Do you then walk further on to reach the summit, or is that as far as you can go.

Once the train arrives at the summit, its a short walk through the building and out of the walkers entrance, then approximately 100 steps up to the cairn.
Hi, would it be suitable at all to take the train up and trek down with a 2 year old and a 4 year old? We are all used to go on long treks in hilly/mountain terrain and the boys are very good walkers for their age and we also have carrier backpacks when needed. Is it any routes down that is not too rocky/unsafe? We will make our final decision on trekking down or taking the train down once up and after seeing some of the terrain but prefer to be prepared. Thank you for any answers

We are both 57 and fairly fit. We found the walk tough but OK. There were plenty of youngsters walking down as we came down. If you are all fit and well then I would say fine.
How close is the train stop at the top to the cafe there please and is it a steep/rocky walk? My dad has limited mobility so wondering if we need to take his wheelchair or if he will manage. Also are the steps to board the train steep? Thanks for your help.
答:
The train stops at the summit building platform. Ramps are available for wheelchairs and there is a lift into the building for wheelchairs.
