Amazing place, to my mind more interesting than Stonehenge due to the many different circles covered a far larger area. Good information boards, and not at all touristy. Hint - proceed past the first… StephenandRo的完整评论

Free parking, just off the main road. Nice walk in 15/20 mins, so give yourself an hour, well kept stone circles in the middle of nowhere. Gary L的完整评论

Worth the walk. The views along the path were superb. Fascinating site. It was around 1.5 miles from the car park. The path was clear and safe to walk on. DavidandCarol2的完整评论
Hi, can I ask how long the walk is to the stones - I see from reviews the paths are good and lead straight to the stones but would like the time frame to plan my day. Thank you. Margaret Anne

It's about 2.5 miles officially and there are lots of stone circles along the route. If you just want to tick off an attraction it won't take long. If, however, you like taking photos and looking at the stones in detail (we were there on a very atmospheric day with lovely cloudscapes, etc) .. and if you want to walk north to another excellent stone circle .. I'd allow half a day. The stone circle to the north does have a sort of pullofferie by the road but it also had the most enormous pothole so I parked at the official car park for the Machrie stones which has plenty of space and a good surface. Walking north from there takes you over a delightful bridge and past a friendly tearoom by the golf course!
