What a pretty castle! I always wanted to come here and although there was scaffolding on the outside, it had a nice covering so it was unsightly to look at. Super pretty rooms and a quaint little caf… JessicainWales的完整评论

My Welsh friend had been pretty dismissive about Castle Coch, but on a rainy day I suggested that we should give it a go. We were both very favourably impressed. The site is still undergoing some re… Andrew E的完整评论
I had some awful experience in this castle last weekend. It seems someone called Kin3 had the same experience in May, but it didn't improve at all since May until now. I wonder why this lady with long curl hair (Lesley?) in the ticket desk still hasn't got any improvement in her manner and attitude? She needs some training, I can't believe this kind of people can work in such a beautiful castle. What a shame! We just wanted to have some tea in the tea room which said free entry, but she was unhappy we use the toilet in the castle courtyard and she thought we wanted to sneak into the castle without a ticket. She shouted to me and my daughter in public when we were just waiting for the toilet. If you don't believe people and think we wanted to go inside the castle without a ticket, why you allow people free entry to the tea room? If you have a tea room, why there is no toilet inside? If the toilet in courtyard is the only option, why you are unhappy customers use it? Such a beautiful castle inside the forest. Unfortunately there are some awful people working there.

Forgot to mention, we have told the lady clearly we just wanted to use the tea room at the very beginning. Because I live in Cardiff and I have visited the castle many years ago. After the tea, I asked her first whether we can use toilet. She allowed, but when we were waiting outside the toilet, she stared at us unhappily, clearly she doesn’t believe us. Someone else was using the toilet, so my daughter and I waited for about 5-10mins.Then she suddenly run across the courtyard and shouted to us. “You don’t buy a ticket, you have used the toilet, right? You can’t go inside!!!” I think it’s very rude. And from the previous comments, I found someone had the exact same experience 7 months before me. So clearly it’s not because the lady had a bad day. This is the her way to treat foreign tourists. I know I’m foreign, but I’m 100% sure I have communicated with the lady clearly. I told her my interest is only the tea room. The problem is she doesn’t believe me, because I’m foreign?? So some people comments I should ask the information desk, the answer is yes, I did. Some people comments there maybe a language problem, the answer is no. I have told her clearly.
There is a ramp that leads inside the castle but the building itself doesn't lend itself to wheelchair use. Very steep circular stairs I'm afraid lead to the higher floors.
