I'll start with saying that the place is wonderful for a walk in the woods. The 5 trolls were very cool. We walked along the water, made houses in the Fairy Garden, and enjoyed all that. This was … Indyinin的完整评论

Exceeded expectations. We visited at the end of the season but it was still beautiful. So many trails to hike. I especially enjoyed hiking through the trees. We do not have kids, but the children's a… Meghan M的完整评论

We were excited to visit these botanical gardens but honestly, we LOVED this one! The gardens were pretty (dahlias were in bloom) and the trails were right up our alley. We loved finding the 5 gian… Kari R的完整评论
Website is best resource because special events happen all the time. On the day we went, my wife paid the normal senior rate while mine was free because of father’s day.
Looks wonderful. Will a visit the last week of September be disappointing? Trolls will be fun but I suspect most of the color from flowering plants will be past. Guess my timing, as usual, is bad. Will shuttles and guides be available? My wife has mobility issues and I am worried some of the more interesting parts might be difficult for her to see? Also it said tickets need to be bought in advance? Is this a left over COVID restriction or to prevent over crowding? Is one day enough in advance since our schedule will need to be be flexible. Thanks

Tickets are bought in advance because it is a timed admission to control crowds. We purchased ours the day before. They usually have things blooming for most of the season, so it is worth the trip. I would check with the Gardens on their fall schedule. The shuttle drivers are your guides and most workers are volunteers so I would assume they are more than seasonal.
Has anyone seen the trolls with little ones? If so, can we seen them in about 2 hours? I’ll have a two year old and a 12 year old with me. I’m debating if we can squeeze this in during our road trip from Boston to Bar Harbor. It’s an estimated 6 hour drive which means longer with kids but this seems so amazing. Trying to figure out if the longer day is doable and worth it.

No, general admission covers the entire experience. While special tickets are not needed for this experience, admission tickets to the Gardens must be purchased in advance.
